What kind of Plastic do you use?
We use top of the line 6mil 4 year Poly Plastic covering, this is the same greenhouse plastic used by large commercial greenhouses.
We use two layers of this plastic, one clear the other opaque (opaque color optional) these layers are inflated by a special inflation system.
The layers being filled with air reduces movement and friction increasing the life of the plastic, in some cases up to 8 years .
What can I grow in my greenhouse?
Virtually anything! From herbs and spices to exotic flowers, from potatoes to lemons you will be amazed at what you can grow.
Will growing in a greenhouse conserve water?
Yes. By eliminating wind and sun evaporation, your water use will be more effective and efficient.
Its already hot here, why would I want a greenhouse, more heat right?
No. Dry heat and direct sun can kill. The greenhouse will containe moisture and diffuse the sunlight creating a rainforest like climate, causing your plants to flourish in the heat.
Plastic covering? Won’t that be like putting a magnifying glass over my plants?
No. We cover our greenhouses with two layers of U.V. treated plastic. One of these layers is partially opaque allowing plenty of sunlight in, but filtering the harsh rays. It also makes working inside more comfortable.
Plastic? Doesn’t sound very strong.
We use 6 mil. commercial grade polyethylene Durafilm 4®. It is strong enough to walk on without tearing or breaking, most airborne objects will simply bounce off.
Will your greenhouse stand the wind?
Yes! We have had over 15 years of success. You can expect your greenhouse to stand up to the harshest wind storms. (If you put it together according to the plans).
Are your kits hard to build?
No. Basic handyman skills will get it done. If you can pound stakes, read a measuring tape, and
use a drill gun, you can do it.
